Refund policy

Last Updated: April 30, 2026

At Flare Events Inc. (“Flare,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), we offer dating events, matchmaking, dating coaching, membership and database-style access, and related services. Because many of our offerings involve reserved capacity, personalized work, or services that begin shortly after purchase, purchases are final and non-refundable except as described below, as stated at the time of purchase, in an applicable service agreement, or where required by law.

Except where required by law or an applicable service-specific agreement, any exception, credit, exchange, transfer, rescheduling accommodation, refund, or other remedy Flare elects to provide in a particular case is discretionary and does not create an entitlement to the same treatment in another case or waive this Refund Policy, our Terms of Service, or any applicable service-specific agreement.

Dating event tickets are non-refundable.

Where Flare permits a ticket exchange, the request must be received at least forty-eight (48) hours before the scheduled event. Requests received less than 48 hours before the event are not eligible for an exchange, except where Flare chooses to make an exception or where required by law.

Exchanges remain subject to availability, eligibility for the requested event, and any additional terms communicated at the time of purchase.

A ticket may be considered redeemed where:

  • the event has taken place;
  • the ticket holder does not attend;
  • the ticket holder arrives sufficiently late that Flare is unable to accommodate their participation;
  • the ticket holder voluntarily leaves the event after it has begun; or
  • the ticket holder is refused entry or removed because of a violation of our Terms of Service, safety standards, or conduct requirements.

No refund, credit, or exchange is guaranteed in these circumstances except where required by law.

Customers are responsible for purchasing a ticket for an event for which they are eligible, including any advertised age range or permitted age leeway. Tickets may not be resold or transferred to another person without Flare’s approval, as substitutions may affect event eligibility and participant composition.

Purchasing a ticket for an event for which the purchaser is not eligible does not automatically create a right to a refund.

Flare may occasionally need to change an event’s date, start time, venue, host, or other operational details.

For the purposes of this Refund Policy, an event is not considered cancelled merely because it is postponed, rescheduled, relocated to another reasonable venue within the same city or local service area, or otherwise reasonably modified.

A postponed event is an event that has been delayed and will be rescheduled, even if a replacement date has not yet been announced.

A rescheduled event is an event that has been moved to a different date or time. Tickets purchased for the original event will remain valid for the rescheduled event unless Flare communicates otherwise.

An event is considered cancelled only where Flare determines that the event will not proceed and will not be rescheduled or replaced within a reasonable period.

If Flare ultimately determines that a postponed event will not be rescheduled or replaced within a reasonable period, the event will be treated as cancelled.

If Flare postpones or reschedules an event and you are unable to attend the new date, please contact us within the timeframe communicated with the rescheduling notice. Where appropriate, Flare may offer a transfer or credit toward another eligible event.

A postponement or rescheduling does not automatically entitle the ticket holder to a cash refund except where required by applicable law.

Changes to an event’s venue, host, expected attendance, or other reasonable operational details do not by themselves constitute cancellation and do not automatically create a right to a refund.

Weather, venue closures, emergencies, transportation disruptions, power or utility failures, government restrictions, public-safety concerns, or other circumstances outside Flare’s reasonable control may require an event to be postponed, rescheduled, relocated, or otherwise reasonably modified. These circumstances do not by themselves constitute cancellation.

Flare does not guarantee a particular number of attendees, an exact participant ratio, a specific number of dates or conversations, the attendance of any particular person, or any match or connection outcome.

Attendance may change because of cancellations, no-shows, late arrivals, or other circumstances outside Flare’s control. Flare may make reasonable adjustments to the event format, timing, rotations, or participant flow in order to operate the event effectively. These reasonable operational adjustments do not constitute cancellation.

Notices concerning postponements, rescheduling, venue changes, or other material event updates may be sent to the email address or other contact information provided with the order. Customers are responsible for ensuring that the contact information associated with their purchase is accurate and for reviewing event-related communications from Flare.

Once payment is processed, purchases for matchmaking and dating coaching services are considered final.

Because these services involve personalized intake, preparation, profile work, professional time, and other individualized services, we do not generally offer refunds, credits, or exchanges after purchase except where required by law or expressly provided in an applicable service agreement.

Where a separate service agreement applies, that agreement may contain additional terms concerning service scope, payment, cancellation, pauses, expiry, and refunds.

In the event of a conflict concerning a particular purchased service, the applicable service agreement will govern that service.

Membership, Daterbase, database-style access, and similar access-based products are generally non-refundable once access, intake, onboarding, profile creation, profile review, or other service activity has begun.

These products do not guarantee an introduction, match, relationship, communication from a prospective match, or any particular outcome.

If you purchase a service using a payment plan, all scheduled payments remain due in accordance with the agreed payment schedule, even if you later choose not to continue using the service, unless otherwise stated in your service agreement or required by law.

Pausing a service does not automatically pause or cancel scheduled payments.

Submitting a chargeback or payment dispute does not by itself create a right to a refund, credit, cancellation, or release from an otherwise valid payment obligation.

Flare may respond to a payment dispute or chargeback by providing relevant transaction, registration, attendance, service, communication, and policy records to the applicable payment processor, bank, card network, or financial institution, subject to applicable law and cardholder rights.

We understand that personal circumstances can sometimes affect a client’s ability to continue a service as planned.

Matchmaking services may be placed on hold where permitted by the applicable service agreement. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, a paused matchmaking service must generally be resumed within six (6) months of the pause date.

Dating coaching services are generally not eligible for service pauses. Any exception may be considered by Flare based on the circumstances and the terms applicable to the purchased service.

Purchases made through third-party ticketing platforms, payment processors, partner channels, external checkout systems, or other third parties may also be subject to that provider’s refund rules, fees, and processing timelines.

Where a third party processed the purchase, Flare may be unable to issue or process a refund independently of that provider.

Third-party ticketing, payment processing, or service fees may be non-refundable where those amounts are not returned to Flare by the applicable provider, subject to applicable law.

If Flare cancels an event and does not postpone, reschedule, or provide a replacement event, or if Flare is unable to provide another purchased service due to circumstances within our control, we will provide an appropriate resolution.

Depending on the circumstances and the service purchased, this may include a refund, credit, transfer, rescheduling, replacement service, or other remedy.

Nothing in this Policy limits any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection law.

Where a refund is approved, it will generally be returned to the original payment method where possible.

The amount of time required for a refund to appear may vary depending on the payment processor, bank, credit card issuer, ticketing platform, or other financial institution.

Dating, matchmaking, coaching, and relationship outcomes depend on many personal circumstances and factors outside Flare’s control.

We therefore cannot guarantee a particular match, introduction, relationship, result, response, attendance level, or outcome.

If you have questions or concerns about a service you purchased, please contact the appropriate Flare team. For dating events, contact our National Events team at events@flareevents.com.
